Common Back Problems
Back pain is one of the most common medical problems in the country. According to the National Institutes of Health, most people have low back pain at least once in their lives and up to 25 percent of U.S. adults have back pain each year.
The spine is a complex structure composed of bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons, joints, discs, and nerves, all working together to provide structural support and mobility. Although pain may come from a specific part of the spine, often more than one part is involved.
